About Us

Juneau Teens For Change is a new organization created by students passionate about global service and community involvement. JTFC is a branch of Interact, a high school based community service group sponsored by members of the Glacier Valley Rotary Club. Interact has a history of international travel, but since it is a school affiliated club, only small groups of dedicated students were able to travel. In our 5 years of service, we have traveled to Uganda, Bali, and Nepal.

    Our most recent trip was in December of 2017, when we spent 20 days in Kathmandu, Nepal, rebuilding a school that was destroyed by the April 2015 earthquake. We traveled with a program called Projects Abroad to help us plan our accommodations and activities. The trip was absolutely life-changing for everyone involved, and we can't express our gratitude to all our sponsors and amazing chaperones, as well as all the parents of the students, who's help we couldn't live without!
